Wayne L. Wang was born in Taiwan and migrated to the U.S. for his graduate studies in engineering and physics. In 1971, Dr. Wang received his Ph. D. degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He did research as a theoretical physicist until 1975, publishing numerous papers on nuclear reaction theory. After spending five years on nuclear reactor safety research, he became a telecommunication engineer specializing in advanced mobile telecommunication systems and data communication.

His cultural background spans equally both the Eastern and Western worlds. The similarities between Tao and quantum physics have attracted his early interest on Tao Philosophy. He believes that Tao is coherent and dynamic, and it may be systematically represented a modern theory. With his background in the Chinese language and modern physics, he has been able to formulate a Tao philosophy in a most coherent and consistent manner. He introduces a scientific process to formulate Tao Philosophy in a language independent fashion. He has successfully translated the most difficult Chinese classic, the Lao-tzu Tao Te Ching, with minimum ambiguity.

His first book on this subject, Dynamic Tao and Its Manifestations, shows the intimate similarities between Tao Philosophy and Quantum Cosmology. His analysis of Tao Philosophy will set a new framework for modern Tao studies, in both the Eastern and the Western arenas. The project took more than four and half years to complete.

2013 年完整的模型與其應用法則分別出版為兩本書︰《道家哲學的邏輯》(The Logic of Tao Philosophy) 與《道德經》的英譯本(Tao Te Ching: An Ultimate Translation)。

    Dear Prof. Wayne,
My name is Stefano and I’m a graduating student of human science in Italy, I do not know how thank you for your researches about Tao Philosphy. I have bought the three books that you have published, I have been studying them deeply during these days.
I was very astonished when I have discovered by your writings the inner structure of the Tao, originally meant by Lao Tzu. The most surprising thing in this event is that, here in Europe also the paradigm by which Plato’s writings had been studied for two millenia was changed.
It is same paradigm shift that you have indicated by which, we can understand the reality of the One. With this new epistemological approach we can say that Idea of Good, originally meant by Plato, has a dynamic structure which is one and many at the same time: he used the words One, Beeing and Diversity in his famous writing Parmenide.
The corrispondences are the same, the Beeing is Tao, the One is Hang Wu and the diversity is the Hang Yo.
It is very impressing that two philosophers that lived in different places of the world, almost at the same time, gained the same result in understanding the structure of reality. And of course, there are references about the polar activity of this Reality as the One and the Diadic principle, as Yin and Yang.
I really appreciate your works and I hope to study more about it, and why not to follow the Tao Way (it seems like a tautology).

    Greetings from Turin (Italy),

It is great that you are looking into my books.
The most important one is “The Logic of Tao Philosophy.” I am pretty confident on the interpretation.
So far very few people have understood it.
I am in the process of making it clearer in the interpretation and writing (that can be improved greatly).
My most recent work is now in Chinese “Searching for the Meaning of Life” within the same principle oneness.
I am also trying to build slowly a newer website ( .

Your comments will help me making it understood better.
Please feel free to write email to me (
